Julian Hylzler

Julian Hyzler started St George's in 1976 and left in 1983. 

An accomplished artist, Julian now resides in Tuscany and Umbria, hosting on-site art retreats to guests from around the world and he offers traveling art and photography retreats at locations around the globe through his company.

Throughout Julian's school career, it was clear that Art would be his future, you can find Julian sited in many places in the archives for his artistic contributions at St George's.

During his time in sixth form he produced a picture of the Pope which consisted of a series of dots and shading.

He also won the Anthony Higgins Art Prize in his last year of school. 

 

After graduating from St George's, he trained at art schools in Kingston and Norwich, before specialising in Illustration in London.

Working as a freelance designer and book Illustrator for ten years, he returned to St George's as a Art Teacher and Senior Tutor, but has since returned to Tuscany. 

Julian has hosted A level Art trips in Tuscany for students of St George's
